Arike Ogunbowale

Arike Ogunbowale, a Nigerian American professional player who plays for the Dallas Wings of the Women's National Basketball Association. She was a college basketball player with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, after which she was drafted by the Wings with the fifth overall pick of the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was a Milwaukee Wisconsin native born to Yolanda Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale is her 26-year-old brother and Dare Ogunbowale, 20 years old. The youngest sibling, she was the one who received the greatest attention from her parents. The father of her Gregory was posted in the Nigerian Army for quite some period of time. Ogunbowale won gold medals at the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships, 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships as well as the 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championships. In July 2014 she was picked to be a member of the USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale is also a part of the ACC All-Freshman Team, after her first year at the college.
