Richard B. Cheney has served as a public servant for many years as well as an entrepreneur who has made a name for himself. Cheney is currently Vice President of the United States. Cheney said that after he was accepted as the Republican nomination for vice president Cheney was looking forward to working with a president who works across political lines to reach his objectives and work with his opponents in trust and respect. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the child of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. At the age of 13, Richard Bruce moved with his parents from Nebraska to Casper (in Wyoming, the State of Wyoming) which is where his father served as director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's soil conservation district.
